Galvanized After Welded (GAW) wire mesh and fence will last for years. The strands of wire are welded together. Next the fabricated welded wire mesh passes through total immersion in a bath of molten zinc. The entire mesh, and most importantly the welded areas, are completely sealed and protected against rust and corrosion by the thick galvanizing. Because it is covered with so much more zinc than galvanized before welded wire (GBW), galvanized after welded wire (GAW) mesh and fence will last years longer. This mesh is particularly useful for animal cages and enclosures, or other applications where rust prevention and long life are desired. It is ideally suited for use as ground wire for bird pens, rabbit cages and any application where a strong, long lasting, predator resistant welded wire mesh or fence is required.
